Obituary for Catherine Dutcher

1936 – 2019

Catherine Christina “Marie” (Murdock) Dutcher, wife of the late Arnold Dutcher of Miramichi passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday evening, June 21, 2019 at the age of 83.

Born in Black River Bridge, on January 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Jean (McGraw) Murdock. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Canadian Red Cross. She attended St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin.

She is survived by her two daughters: Shirley Levesque of Moncton and Irene Lanteigne of Miramichi; one son, Gerald Dutcher of Moncton; one brother, Winfield Murdock (Eve) of Black River Bridge; seven grandchildren: Jody, Dawn, Racquel, Mark, Cory, RJ, Justin and seven great grandchildren: Jordan, Makayla, Cayden, Brooklynn, Brianna, Haileigh, Eric; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Arnold Dutcher, son, Robert Dutcher, son-in-law, Joe Lanteigne, sister, Mildred Williston, brothers: Brydon, Ray and Leonard Murdock.

Visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service was held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 1 pm with The Rev. Thomas W.L. Nisbett and Rev. Deacon Rose Steeves officiating. Music for the service was provided by Dawn Bell and the hymns were “Safe In The Arms Of Jesus” and “Here I Am Lord”. Scripture reading was read by Debbie Jardine.

Pallbearers were Jody Lanteigne, Randy Jardine, Billy Murdock, Carl Murdock, David Murdock and Mark Williston. Interment was in the church cemetery.
