Obituary for Sylvester Rickman

1930 – 2018
Sylvester Alloysius "Dolly" Rickman husband of the late Pearl M. (Lyons) Rickman R.N. of the Harper Rd., Miramichi passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the age of 87. Born in Bamboo, Jamaica on December 20, 1930 he was the son of the late John and Lillian (Whorms) Rickman.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Christian by Faith.

He is survived by one daughter Ann Rickman (Mike) of Hampton, NB; one son Ian Rickman (Tamara) of Cherry Grove, AB; two grandchildren Gregory and Danny; one sister Marguerite Langley of Parkdale, Charlottetown, PEI; one brother Keith Rickman of Bonavista, Nfld.; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife Pearl M. (Lyons) Rickman R.N., two sisters Mabel (Bird) and Jeanette, five brothers Bill, Henry (CH), Lloyd (Tim), Karl and Herbert (Bobby).

Visitation was held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service was held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11 am with Wayne Hutchison and Eric Lockhart as the speakers. The organist was Vera Lynn Harrison. The hymns sung were “My Saviour’s Love” and “In Jesus Hands”. The hymn sung at the cemetery was “Moments Of Blessing”. Pallbearers were Danny Rickman, Gregory Rickman, Elwin Dickson, Dale MacCallum, Stacy Harrison and Ronnie MacCallum. Interment was held in the Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac, NB.

As expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
